故事大綱

窦勝雪(楊怡 飾)本是鹽枭之女，無意中救了聶致遠(馬浚偉 飾)，卻不知他原來是官家派來調查鹽幫之探子。結果在致遠的引路下，勝雪父親的鹽幫被官兵殺過雞犬不留。逃脫性命的勝雪獨立支撐整個局面。 此時致遠又再次出現，與勝雪再度相對，本來販賣私鹽是觸犯王法，可是從勝雪口中，致遠卻發現平民此舉實在是迫不得已，而且官鹽交易內亦存著種種貪贓枉法。 從這一點點鹽，致遠看到了天下百姓的困苦。

Synopsis:
NIPCHI YUEN (Ma Steven), who works in the anti-smuggling camp, isdetermined to wipe out the Tau's Fort, which is the stronghold for saltsmugglers. He pretends to be a down-and-out scholar. TAU SING SUET(Yeung Yi), daughter of the chief smuggler, sympathizes with YUEN andputs him up in the village. Later, they even become fond of each other.During an anti-smuggling operation SUET is badly hurt and has sincebeen separated from YUEN and her family. Fortunately she is saved by WUTING HIN (Wong Ho Yin), son of salt merchant WU KIN (Kwok Fung). HINtakes her home. One day, SUET is horrified to see the dead bodies ofher parent being hung on the wall of the city tower, and that theofficial standing on the top of the tower telling the public not tosell smuggled salt is none other than the man she misses day and night.She is heartbroken, and her love for YUEN turns into hatred that momenton.

HIN finds a job for SUET at the salt company his family runsto help her get over her unhappiness. To repay him, she devotes herselfentirely to the job. As time goes by, HIN starts to fall in love withher. However his critical illness making him hesitates to express hislove for her. SUET's real identity comes to light when her youngeruncle reappears out of the blue. HIN, for fear that his family willreport SUET, proposes to her.
